Reginal Barnes Jr. is a proud father of six and grandfather of four. Reginald was born and raised in North Philadelphia. He knew early in life that he wanted to make a difference. He had a vision of an organization that would allow him to utilize his experience and creativity through entrepreneurialism, to be a liaison between resources and communities in need. This he plans to do through the creation of H.U.G.S., along with his adoring wife Jaime Jessica Barnes aka “JJ”, who plays an integral part in his vision come to life.

Jaime Jessica Barnes aka JJ grew up in Southwest Philadelphia. She was well known for her infectious positive attitude and dimple laden smile. JJ always had a heart to give and a vision to leave her mark on the world. When diagnosed with cancer in 2008, JJ feared her vision would never come to pass. However, through God's grace she beat cancer, not once, but twice. This blessing restored her faith in her vision to make a difference.

When she met Reginald, it was destiny, as their visions fit together like a perfect puzzle. Through their union they were able to cultivate H.U. G. S into the efflorescing organization it is today.
